 Philippe Coutinho's Three-Word Hint as Aston Villa Player Finalises Transfer

Philippe Coutinho, currently with Aston Villa, is on the brink of sealing his return to his childhood club, Vasco da Gama. Coutinho, upon landing in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, to finalize the deal, offered a cryptic three-word response to the waiting media that 'everyone already knows', indirectly confirming that his transfer from Aston Villa is practically complete.

Coutinho is expected to wrap up a free transfer from Aston Villa as his contract with the Birmingham-based club is due to expire at the end of June. Furthermore, Aston Villa is reported to be prepared to release him early, enabling him to move to Brazil immediately.

The Brazilian domestic season is a few games in, and the official transfer window opens in July. If Coutinho becomes a free agent, he will be able to sign for Vasco da Gama before the window commences.
Having received an offer from the Belo Horizonte-based club Cruzeiro, the former Liverpool and Barcelona star seems set on a return to Rio and Vasco da Gama.
Coutinho's return will provide a much-needed impetus to Vasco da Gama, a club struggling to reclaim its former glory. Despite a slow start to their current campaign, they are aiming to win the Brazilian top-flight title for the fifth time and for the first time since 2000.

Coutinho agreeing to a significant pay cut to facilitate this move should certainly delight the Vasco devotees.
